As chief information officer (CIO) and vice president of information technology (IT) at Kronos Incorporated, John McGregor is responsible for global information technology operations supporting more than 5,200 employees worldwide. In this role, McGregor drives the strategy behind exceptional global IT services which enables much of the work that happens at Kronos. As a forward-thinker committed to continually evolving the IT organization to drive business strategy, McGregor and team bring new tools and innovative services to Kronos that help employees operate more efficiently and best serve customers.
Since joining Kronos in 2008, McGregor has led Kronos’s information technology team, providing strategic direction and management for the company’s IT infrastructure worldwide while transforming the company’s global IT function into a service-delivery-focused organization. He is also responsible for developing innovative enterprise solutions that solve business issues, add value, and reduce costs for the organization. In addition, McGregor has had tremendous impact on Kronos’ strategic business, as he led the effort to build the Kronos Cloud, which today is home to more than 22,000 customers worldwide.
Prior to joining Kronos, McGregor held several roles in IT leadership functions for leading U.S. organizations, including CIO at United Components and CIO at Sweetheart Cup Company, where at both companies he led critical global ERP implementations while transforming IT operations into a strategic business partner.
McGregor holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Nova Southeastern University, and was named a top five Finalist in the 2017 ORBIE Awards for Boston CIO of the Year.
